Really? This has got to be the lowest point in iPad games because even Dan Akroyd would hesitate to buy this app unless it’s to enjoy seeing a younger Dan. For those who don’t know, Dan Akroyd is one of the directors and star of the hit movie, Ghostbusters along with Bill Murray. It’s a fantastic movie but it’s been done over and over again. Thus, when Ghostbusters: Ghost Invasion HD came out a couple of weeks ago, it’s didn’t generate much enthusiasm.

The game play itself is all about zapping ghosts, and the only challenge is the speed which increases with every ghost you zap. Eventually, you’ll trip which means a pretty poor shot at winning in the never-ending race to shoot ghosts.  It’s available for download for only $.99.

It’s another tower defense game but if you’re a master at playing this type of game, you might be disappointed. It’s basic tower defense tactics with slight adjustments in game play. Aside from hand-drawn cards for towers, the other feature being highlighted by the creator is its music. From this alone, you get the inkling that the game is more of a showcase than a challenge.

You can alone or online with anyone else who has the Two Towers game. Logic will prevail which means you can’t mess up on strategy … or you lose. Very distracting for game play are the cards which are beautifully crafted in pencil. Once you get past this barrier to playing competitively, you have a fair chance of beating anyone who’s challenged you online.
